Growth form: Annual herb. Flowering. Mar. Status: Native. Very common. Also recorded: Bahrain, Kuwait, E Saudi Arabia, UAE. Habitat & distribution: Abudant, often locally dominant. Always on hard surfaces, including gravel plains, stony and and rocky areas, where there is a thin covering of silt or sand. Uses: El Amin remarks that it is not liked by animals due to its bristles.
