Description:

The Black-necked Grebe is slightly larger than the Little Grebe.It has a small bill, steeply sloping forehead,and large red eye. Mostly dark chocolate brown and golden in summer. In winter plumage the white throat and cheeks contrast with the grey neck and grey and black body. Often seen in small flocks on open water.
